Golf Rules

- Call the pro shop for a tee time. All golfers check in at the pro shop before each round and tee off on hole 1 unless directed otherwise. Replays must register and pay a replay cart fee if riding.
- Cart privileges are not included in membership dues. Member cart fees are $15 for nine holes and $20 for eighteen. Drivers must be 16 with a valid license. Walking is allowed at any time; members pay a $2 user fee when walking.
- Each golfer must have their own set of clubs. Proper golf attire is required: collared or collarless golf shirts and denim are fine, tank tops and cut-offs are not. Soft spikes only. Shorts, skirts and skorts should be fingertip length.
- Water coolers are not on the course. Bring your own non-alcoholic drinks in a small cooler that fits the sweater basket. Staff may check coolers before you tee off. No outside alcohol.
- Practicing to greens or off tee boxes is prohibited. Use the putting green by the 1st tee and the chipping green by the 10th. Pull carts stay off tees, greens and fringes.
- Repair ball marks, smooth bunkers and replace divots. Please do not walk up the slopes of the sand traps.
- Loud or abusive language will not be tolerated. Damaging the course or carts is grounds for losing playing privileges.
- Tee times may be booked up to one week in advance. Threesomes and foursomes are preferred between 8 am and noon on weekends and holidays. Fivesomes need pro shop permission; sixsomes are never allowed.
- Club-sponsored tournaments take precedence over other play.
- Grounds crew and rangers have priority on the course. Please be respectful of their work.
- The pro shop may sound a siren for severe weather. In the event of lightning, clear the course whether or not you hear it.
- Groups stopping at the snack bar after nine may have to fill in on the 10th tee when a spot opens.
- Players falling a full hole behind must allow the group behind to play through.

Members agree that Summerville Country Club, its owners and employees are held harmless for injuries on course property and accept responsibility for cart or course damage caused by their group.
