THE CHEFS It has been a busy season. Thanks to all of the members who have supported our effort. If you haven't tried our dinners, give us a try in January. Each Thursday from 6 7:30 a special dinner is served for a reasonable price. Take outs available. Please try to call ahead. We hope you plan to attend the Elvis show on Feb 12. It should be a lot of fun for all ages. We have had a lot of requests for sandwiches on Friday night. We will start serving on Fri, Jan 8 , from 5-7, with happy hour bar prices. January's Menu 1/7-Mexican buffet & taco bar 1/8-Fried flounder sandwich w/fries 1/14-BBQ chicken and pork, hash, rice, cole slaw, banana pudding w/ peanut butter 1/15-Bacon cheddar burgers with Clemson blue cheese & fries 1/21-Seafood creole over rice with garden salad and dessert 1/22-Grilled chicken sandwiches & chips 1/28-Fried sea bass, grits, cole slaw and dessert 1/29-Grilled sausage dogs with chili and slaw & chips

MILER WOMEN’S GOLF ASSOCIATION
December Ace of the Month has been delayed due to weather The Miler ladies wish to thank Ellie Sims for graciously hosting our Christmas Party in her lovely home. Everyone had an enjoyable time. We will resume play on January 7, 2010. HAPPY NEW YEAR Reminder tee time in January is 10:00am sign in by 9:30am.
Reminders & Notices
o We will be enforcing the DRESS CODE. Please wear collared shirts ... and tuck in shirt tails! NO cut-off jeans. o Tennis court reservations will be made at Miler Pro Shop. o Members observed riding on carts without checking in the Pro Shop for proper payment will be assessed a cart rental for 18 holes - no exceptions! o A valid driver’s license is required to drive a golf cart. o Observing cart path rules is critical to the maintenance of the course! o Please bring your membership card when you are using the clubs ... this includes children. o Cart fees are charged per rider per 18 holes. Additional holes require additional payment. No cart will be rented for less than $15.00 for 18 holes. o Please call ahead for tee times, which are required seven days a week. o Please sign-in at Pro Shop before playing golf or tennis. Have your membership card available when signing in; if you don’t have one, call the office for replacement cards. o For slow-playing groups, please allow other groups waiting behind you to play through. o Do NOT tee off on #10 first WITHOUT checking in the Pro Shop. Tee times are arranged for groups to start on #1 tee.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all. Hopefully, the rain will slow down soon, so golf will be a little more enjoyable. I just want to thank all the members and friends for their support over the year and hope everyone is enjoying the improvements at the club. We plan to keep improving the club every year little by little. I am going to postpone the Match Play tournament to March. This will be the final start date. I’m also going to keep it members only -- if you played in the Summerville Cup, I highly suggest you sign up for this match play tourney. Playing match play events will make everyone a better match play competitor as match play requires a different mindset than stroke play. Keep an eye out for the third annual Superbowl Powerball (Shank and Shuck). This is a four man captains choice with a twist. Sign ups begin first of the year - be sure to sign up early. This has been a popular and growing event the first two years.
HANDICAP INFORMATION 2010 handicap billing will be posted on Jan 20th. $25 annual dues includes internet posting option, per adult, no charge for juniors.
Internet Golf Score Posting Golfnet Handicap Web Page Info To post your score online, go to www.golfnet.com and click on GOLFER LOG IN on left hand side of home page. The "By Association" page pops up, click on SOUTH CAROLINA GOLF ASSOCIATION symbol. When the "Club Selection" screen pops up, leave the club number blank and select MILER COUNTRY CLUB from the club name list. Then hit submit information. On the left hand side of the next page, you will be prompted to enter your golfer handicap number. You should not have a suffix to enter (leave the suffix box blank). Enter the club password: MILERCC (not case sensitive). Once logged on, follow tabs at top of your golfer page to post scores, etc.

This year it was played in severe weather conditions. We are very thankful to the Gary and Gay Hartmann for their dedication to this annual event and to the golfers and sponsors who support it. A very generous donation was made to Meals on Wheels on behalf of the tournament.
