Gayle Cates - We lost a wonderful friend recently. Thos who knew Gayle will always remember her beautiful smile, her gentle manner, her love of golf, and her Christian spirit which showed in her heart of golf. Gayle served as our president and was a special friend. Her family members and friends will cherish her happy memories forever. It was a great honor to know this brave and lovely lady and to have her in our lives. She is now a Star in Heaven.

2013 Greenwave Golf Home Matches
It’s not too late to sign up for the Member’s Ringers Tournament which runs through March 31. Check details in this newsletter. Open to all members. We had a huge turnout for the Super Bowl Powerball tournament overall 128 players participated in the golf and oyster fest which fortunately was completed without getting any rain. The first major for Player of the Year points is starting in a week. Sign up for the annual match play this week to guarantee a spot. Players have one week to complete each round and scorecards will be pre-made in the Pro Shop. Three of our current employees are members of the SHS Greenwave Golf team (Aaron Huggins, Christian Woods, Andrew Purcell). Anyone interested in supporting the team can check their home match schedule posted in the Pro Shop and in this newsletter. New merchandise for 2013 will start showing up in March and April, and as always, let me know any suggestions or needs. To make room for new items, we will have a sale on March 15 and 16 - March 15 will be members only and March 16 will be open for everyone. As an incentive for ordering golf clubs through the Pro Shop, we will be offering a free cart rental for any wood/hybrid order placed and two free cart rentals for any iron set ordered. We’ve gotten a lot of inquiries about selling items in the shop on consignment. We allow this option for members only at a 10% stocking fee if the space is available. Please see a shop assistant for help. We are very excited about our partnership with Yamaha and the 2013 Yamaha YRDA golf carts will be arriving shortly. Hopefully, the weather will start cooperating a little better and give us more sunny days in March. Actually, it doesn’t have to be sunny as long as it doesn’t rain every other day! CLUb
